Well, the intention was to keep a blog of our trip to Wales during the week, but unfortunately the lack of WiFi and the phone signal which at worst was 'no service' and at best was one bar prevented us from succeeding in that task. However, here are a few snapshots and captions of some of the week's activities in retrospect.
After visiting Big Pit, arriving at the farmhouse and unpacking on the first day we kitted up and then tested the walking boots and waterproofs for size on a night walk. We walked up to the lane to a common where we turned off the torches and gazed at the night sky. It was incredibly peaceful to be somewhere with so little light pollution and very little noise. The stars came out for us and all was well. This was followed by a walk back down, a briefing about the next day and bed.
