As always, our children excelled at last night’s music
concert, when they performed to a packed house. Violins, keyboards,
flutes, fifes and clarinets – everyone had their own performance moment.
It was
so lovely to see children who last year had only been able to play one note,
now playing complete tunes. One very special moment was when Mr Marks, Caitlin’s
dad, played alongside his daughter. Oliver Cheng, a former pupil now in Year 9
at Cams, made the children’s jaws drop, when he played a very quick passage on his
violin.
VoxRox sang with sensitivity and passion. Their
introductions were confident, the solos were tuneful, and the overall sound brought
a tear to many an eye. They all made Mrs
Knight a very proud music teacher!
And what's more all the songs will be available on the school's next CD about to be recorded shortly. You can hear Wicor Voices on our You Tube channel.
